That’s why we do what we do—bridge the gap between engineering and entrepreneurship.

We help engineers develop the skills, knowledge, and network they need to become founders. In addition to 1:1 coaching and mentorship, we run programs like the Delta Fellowship to give future founders the space and resources to explore their ideas. When they’re ready to start something, we invest capital, then help them build and scale their engineering organizations (and their businesses more broadly).

This mantra has led us to be early investors of people like Henrique Dubugras and Valentin Perez—both of whom we knew as students, years before they started Brex and Monthly.

It’s also led us to invest in 10 companies before they became unicorns, including Livongo, Snowflake, and Anduril. We have over $1.2B AUM and we've built a network of over 5,000 incredible, ambitious members.

Senior Associate

Be a coach and thought partner for entrepreneurial engineers with the potential to build generation-defining companies.

What you’ll do

  • Spend your days talking about life goals and startup ideas (and maybe the concept of progress) with 100 to 150 engineers who plan to start something in the next year.
  • Think creatively about how to identify and build relationships with future engineer-founders. You know them best, because you’re not unlike them (and you know many of them already).
  • Partner with our investment teams when engineers you work with are exploring ideas and ready to start something, so they can assess the opportunity and potential for Human Capital to invest.

Who you are

  • You’re an engineer that believes in the power of both people and products.
  • You get energy from building relationships. Your colleagues consider you a friend and your friends their advice-giving sage.
  • You optimize for the long term. You think and measure impact in years, decades and lifetimes, not quarters.

Investment Principal (Early)

Be one of the first non-founding members of Human Capital’s core investment team, working directly with our co-founder and President, Baris Akis, across our early-stage investments.

You’ll have insight to our full investment portfolio and exercise high amounts of responsibility and autonomy as you help us build rigor, research, and informed curiosity into everything we do.

What you’ll do

  • Partner with our co-founder and President on end-to-end due diligence and deal execution for early-stage investments.
  • Help develop, articulate, and document investment theses on portfolio companies.
  • Identify investment and business opportunity areas for incubation projects.

Investment Principal (Growth)

Be one of the first non-founding members of Human Capital’s core investment team, working directly with our co-founder and CEO, Armaan Ali, across our growth-stage investments.

You’ll have insight to our full investment portfolio and exercise high amounts of responsibility and autonomy as you help us build rigor, research and informed curiosity into everything we do.

What you’ll do

  • Partner with our co-founder and CEO on end-to-end due diligence and deal execution for growth-stage investments.
  • Help develop, articulate, and document investment theses on portfolio companies.
  • The ideal principal enjoys high throughput, sprint-style work.
  • Be a partner to growth-stage portfolio founders by building financial models and crafting fundraising materials.

Chief of Staff to the President

Be the right-hand partner to our co-founder and President, Baris Akis.

You’ll use your entrepreneurial energy, creativity, and systems thinking to drive impact across the company.

What you’ll do

  • Be the right hand, strategic partner, and proxy for our co-founder and President.
  • Develop and launch new programs that make Human Capital an undeniable magnet for the most ambitious and curious future founders.
  • Build the infrastructure and processes to help our associate team build relationships with the best entrepreneurial engineers on the market.
  • Help Human Capital bring to life a new category of early-stage investment strategy—one grounded in initiatives that defy conventional deal flow efforts.
